Summer in Lake Tahoe

Although I have never been there, Lake Tahoe has always been on my list of places to visit and explore.  Many movie sets and books have developed my interest for the area and I can’t wait to plan a trip there next summer.

The lake and surrounding area are stunning in the various hours of daylight.  And with so much to do, you are sure to enjoy a family trip, romantic rendezvous, or outing with friends at Lake Tahoe.

Wine and cheese sunset cruise-
For 60 bucks a person you can watch the sunset while enjoying a glass of wine aboard a sailboat on the lake.

Go for a ride-
There are miles of bike trails around the lake to enjoy a peaceful ride with friends. Road biking and nationally recognized mountain biking areas are plentiful.

Hit the beach-
Of course, the water is the main attraction here… so grab your fli-flops and sport your bikini at the various beaches around the lake.

Take in the scenery on horseback-
Make a new furry friend and enjoy the fresh lake air.

Stay in luxury-
Experience the sophistication side of mountain life by staying at the Cedar House. You can even take a cooking class at Stella Cooking Club. Delish.

Catch some music-
There are plenty of local and national bands that play in the outdoor music venues around the area.

Savor a great meal-
Check out a place like Café Fiore for a memorable meal on the lake. http://www.cafefiore.com/
