DIY Wedding Projects

i have to admit that i love diy projects. not only does it save money, but when you do the work yourself it just feels a little more special. here are some great diy projects from the site: project wedding.

homemade bread and jam: one of my favorites! i can just picture these as favors at a backyard wedding in the midwest countryside. pair these favors with wildflower centerpieces, paisley print napkins, carafes of lemonade and ice tea, and long white tables in a field with strings of lights twinkling above.

nantucket nautical: love this diy tablescape for a new england wedding at the peak of summer. the aqua and coral color scheme is classic, yet modern and the napkin place settings are just adorable.

mapping it out: maps are gorgeous, especially weathered, antique ones. this is a great idea for wedding décor. maps can symbolize many things and i love how they inspire people to see the world and share their experiences with others.

flower favors: zinnias are a great choice for a wedding flower favor. they are hearty flowers that come in bright and sunny colors. i imagine a table filled with these place card/favors… like a mini garden awaiting the guests.

white sugar dessert bar: this is just gorgeous! the do-it-yourself dessert markers can easily be printed off your home computer and affixed to the plates, jars and bowls with ribbon from a fabric store.
